Tarte: Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette Review

Tarte: Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette

This is easily one of the best palettes currently out. From a beautiful matte black and gold packaging, to great neutrals with pops of color, to the gentle selection of  shimmers, and with the smoothness of the shadows so easily applied this is exceptional. If you love the combination of gold and black, then you will love this packaging. But, if you don't like these colors for packaging you will probably still have to admit it is pretty sleek.
The palette has a light vanilla scent to the shadows, but nothing overwhelming. It also has a nice big mirror perfect for using when on the go.

Row 1: Classic, Innocent, Whimsy, Smoked, Ethereal
All the colors swatch well in this row, though Smoked seems to be a little rougher in texture compared with the others. Ethereal is a beautiful golden shimmer and I am pleased to say does not have glitter particles.

Row 2: Vintage, Fierce, No filter, Vamp, Glam
The first three colors in this row swatch smoothly, but both Vamp and Glam were a little grainy and took more effort to get the true pigment.

Row 3: Chic, Profesh, Mod, Drama, Minx
The first three colors in this row again swatch smoothly, but Drama and Minx were a little grainy and I had to put more effort to get the pigment.

Row 4: Indie, Bold, Edgy, Punk, Trendy
Once again the first three in the row swatch smoothly. Punk is a great black, it is difficult to get the full effect of the pigment, but once applied I did find it difficult to remove (it has staying power!). Trendy is a beautiful green/blue/plum chrome shade, it does seem to flake a small amount at first, but once fully applied it st stays put.

The darker pigments in this palette are more grainy and slightly difficult to deposit the pigment when compared to the lighter shades, but once deposited they are true to color and stay put. All of the lighter shades were smooth in texture and easily deposited pigment.

This palette worked great for a Nikah/Wedding day look. For this look I did a light smokey gold effect using Edgy, Whimsy, Glam, and Ethereal, with the Tarte Precision Longwear Liner. Along with Colourpop super shock shadow Game Face. Lips: Essence lipliner in 08 Red Blush, and Kat von D liquid lipstick Outlaw.

Overall if you are looking for a great palette that can be used for both glamour and every day looks, this Tarteist pro palette would be a great addition to any makeup collection. I think this is the best palette from Tarte so far.
And as usual to Tarte products this palette is made without: parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, and gluten...also cruelty free.
